When my oldest son Paul was in first grade, we moved to a new house. It was fall, the time of year in Michigan when everyone flocks inside and shuts up the house. I began noticing that when he was sitting in silence, it seemed like he was constantly clearing his throat. Just a little under the radar sound. Nothing too overt.
